Watchmen :: Well worth watching!

A bunch of friends of mine and I decided that there was no way we weren’t going to check out the midnight premiere of the graphic-novel turned film, Watchmen. We made our way (on foot- we’re environmentally conscious! [read: don’t have cars]) to the Roxy Cinema in downtown Potsdam where we waited close to the front of the line at approximately 11pm. At 11:30, the doors were opened and the lengthened line filtered in.

After joking around with all of the other college students in the theater for half an hour, the lights dimmed and the previews began. Let me just say this, the next Terminator movie looks sick!

Watchmen clocked in at 2 hours and 43 minutes of amazingness. Even from the opening sequence, I knew that it was going to be one hell of a film. Be sure to brush up on your mid-80’s history for the full effect.  I don’t want to say too much about it here, I just want to you go see the film for yourself. It was truly amazing. I’m gonna read the novel and then go see it again.

Definitely don’t miss out on the opportunity to see it in theaters!
