It’s Dot Com!

The time has come! I decided that it was time to claim my own domain and move the blog over to It was a fairly simple move to make and I certainly encourage other bloggers out there to secure their own domain as well.

I happened to use to register the domain. I found a promo code on the net and ended up only paying $7.95 (instead of the original total of $10.19) to register a single dot com domain. The whole process took about 30 minutes from the point of deciding that I was finally going to register the domain to the point where I could visit the page and my blog was where it should be.

I only ran across a single snafu; I had to read a simple how-to blog post on pointing my WordPress blog to my domain location because I hadn’t altered the “nameservers” on my domain to agree with WordPress.
